Ciya is one of my favorite restaurants in Istanbul. I would travel to Kadiköy just for this specific restaurant. They have traditional turkish food on a high level, prepare on big pots, for reasonable prices. The waiter asked to a poor looking guy from the...More

Was referred to this establishment and it did not disappoint. Sampled a wide variety of local and regional cuisine that tantalised the taste buds. Fresh, tasty, and filling. You pay by the portions/weight that you choose. So I was quite liberal and adventurous. The standout...More

We were introduced to this restaurant by our tour guide, Latif, with Istanbul Layover Tours. He selected a sampling of foods, and all were delicious! Our meal was topped off by dessert and coffee, the former being walnuts (still not sure how they were prepared,...More

No restaurant in Turkey serves “haram” food because it’s a Muslim country. Therefore you don’t even think about whether the food served at Ciya Sofrasi is halal.
