Service was poor at this place. Wine and food was very ordinary but to a relatively high prize. Bad value for money.

I randomly chose the place out of many others at the same street . They had the best Adana Kebab I tried during my all stay in Istanbul. Especially liked the serving , comes with a lot of greens

Very average with bland food. The owner is a nice guy, but I think he needs to change his cook. We had fish soup to start and it was tasteless, very bland and too creamy. For main meal we had steak with what supposed to be a mash potato and was an over fried slice of potato as well as... More

This was the first restaurant we went to in Istanbul. There are a lot of eating places in the area and on this street and there is not a lot of difference between them. Service was good, and the family were happy with the food, but I didn't get what I asked for, and as we had waited to 45... More

the place e was empty, so we should have been suspicious but the very push waiter ushered us upstairs where we hoped their might be some people and atmosphere but no he then went on so much about the menue trying to talk us into eating a specific dish ( obviously they wanted to get rid of) after we sat... We selected this restaurant based on a dish my wife wanted to try that was listed on the menu - chicken stuffed with rice, pistachios and almonds. Unfortunately, what she got was completely different, chicken stuffed with spinach. It was good but not what she wanted. When we called the manager over, he said the chef was new and didn't... More

The food here was excellent also but the view is what got me. I would go back again in a heartbeat. Fish and other seafood from the Black Sea and the largest prawns I have ever seen in my life.

We were walking back to our hotel and came across oceans 7 restaurant. On the spur of the moment we decided to sit and eat. The staff were great and the food delicious. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and hopefully will be able to have a second meal on the roof with views of the sea and the blue... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
