The food was ok, except the dessert, some of the starters were really good. But the service and the way they treat you is shocking. Some of the staff were helpful but the lady who seems to be in charge was very rude. The cocktails we ordered came very late and the ice was melted so we asked them to... More

One of my favorite places in Emirgan by the bosphorous. The owners have great taste for food and are personally on top. You can try very different fusion foods but all very tasty. Try it out during spring-summer so that you can sit outside amd enjoy the view as much as the food

One of my friends collegues invited us to her little birthday party at this restaurant. It was upstairs in a separate room with very beautiful hand paintings and therefore very impressive walls and ceiling! We were about 10 people and everyone enjoyed the fresh classic Turkish dishes.

Started as a high standard gourmet place in Taksim years ago, however turned to usual street cafe in terms of value due to lack of innovation, mismanagement and big turnover in staff. Totally frustrated with the arrongant - " wheather to take or not " approach of the owner and pay 350 TL for a lunch for two which we... More

We went to Muzedechanga with our 3 year old child. The waiter was very hasty and when we asked if they had something for small children, the waiter said roughly no the menu is the menu nothing more. The food on the menu was not suited for a 3 year old child. There was no Kalahari, pasta or potatoes. This... More

Attached to the Sakıp Sabancı Museum, overlooking the Bosphorus, is an incredible restaurant experience. Chatting with the owners was a special treat, but eating the food was an equal delight! After enjoying the Anish Kapoor sculpture exhibit, we enjoyed fine dining with friends for a wonderful evening. http://www.changa-istanbul.com

Using ingredients from all over the world, this restaurant produces modern interpretations of classic Turkish dishes. Within walking distance from Taksim Square. I enjoyed it and if you have the time, it is worth the visit.

This place is definitely a good restaurant. The fusion food is great, but I'm sure you can find as good elsewhere, without all the fancy and posh pretention around it, and definitely less expensive.

This place is a bit far away maybe if you are just for the weekend in Istnabul, but it is worth combining a visit to Sabanci Museum in Emirgan with this excellent restaurant. Especially in summer it is good being outside, overlooking the Bosphorus (although you are not that close to it, with road and the park/garden of th mansion... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
