This place is always full at any time of the day but it really does not deserve this popularity at all.... I had brunch here twice. First one was disastrous but I thought there was something wrong that specific day as people love this place, wait in queue to be served. So, I tried it again last weekend but it... More

Namli is situated in the very central Karakoy and is popular amongst locals, bustling at any given time. The food is of very high quality but is also pricey. Getting service in English is trickey with waiters getting annoyed if you are indecisive or don't know how to order at the buffet station. I went for breakfast and would suggest... More

Although it is not a cheap place, we love to eat there because of so many varieties. In the beginning, we found that it is not easy to make an order. Just followed the local ways : )

The place is amazing and really busy but its worth the trip, the waiting and anything you might think of.. if you are looking for cheeses, salami, sausages, olives, pastrami and other items that makes a superior delicatessen then this the place that you really want and should go to..

When you visit Namli in Karakoy, you will not know where to look and stop looking. All these wonderful quality products, the enormous choice of meat, cheeses, olives and olive oils and honey make your appetite rise. So you take these beautiful items home or you enjoy them at one of the tables. But make sure you come early when... More

Me and and my family are visiting from The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We haven't had any issues anywhere in Istanbul in regards to halal. But this was the first mistake Namli. First of all the staff were very rude. I don't think I need to share any details. After the meal I started to have crams in my stomach... More

The set up of the place has a very warming & comfortable feel to it! Breakfast was tasty, & the breads were fantastic! You can basically taste almost everything before you purchase it!

50 lira for a small plate of cheese and olives, tea and water? I was stunned when I received the bill. I mean you can get a king's feast for 50 lira anywhere else in the city. And the waiters are absolutely horrible, making snide comments about everyone, acting like they are doing you a favor by doing anything for... More

Self-service breakfast buffet: clean place, fast staff, fresh local dishes, low prices. Staff do not speak English (well) and there are no (visible) cafeteria rules.

We visited the Namli store at Karakoy area. I have to admit that communication with the waiters is a bit difficult but they are so willing to help so at the end you can find your ways. So, someone has to order as a self service the plates that wants to eat, the platters and the combinations. You need to... More

Staying in Karakoy

Neighbourhood Profile
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
