Do you want to see a plane tree next to your table and feel fine... do you want to eat the best/fresh/delicious seafood... start with Turkish white cheese, slice-of-watermelon and raki (or white wine) and chat, chat, chat slowly with your lover/friend whoever... then the...More
In the centre of lively Ortakoy right next to thr mosque and Bosphorus bridge, the setting is excellent. This is matched by tasty food - good range of Turkish starters, followed by selection of fresh fish. All served attentively. Recommended
Ate dinner here in May 2016 with a couple of friends. It was well priced and the food was great. The service was a bit slow, but otherwise it was a good eating experience. Would I go again, yes.

I started to go to Çınaraltı 25 years ago.Ortaköy is a nice old fisher village. At the time there was not a lot of choice. Few restaurants and tea house.Çınaraltı is a friend always to remember. Smiley, not may be elegant but hot enough.
This long time Ortakoy restaurant renovated its upstairs terrace a few years ago. Reserve or arrive early or you risk sell outs of the more popular meze. It has tablecloths but down to earth atmosphere and fortunately for this neighborhood a very mixed demographic.
