Our family got a craving for japanese food. We went to a few places but the menu was not appealing. Then we came to Sake Colombo. The staff was welcoming and the place has a relaxing environment.
The Staff is knowledgeable of the menu and our host knew what to recommend my family (which includes two children).
Food arrived at the table quickly. One dish which required beef well done took a bit of time. This was understandable, of course.
Cost was moderate. But given the quality of the food, I believe the cost is justified.
All in all, it was a great dining experience. I highly recommend Sake Colombo!

Since 2022, we've been frequent patrons of Sake Colombo, where their diverse range of Japanese cuisine consistently makes our visits extraordinary. The attentive staff, particularly Yadushan, deserves special mention for enhancing our dining experiences with their exceptional service.
Sake Colombo is unequivocally the top Japanese eatery in town, highly deserving of recommendation.

Very nice place for sushis lovers, in a beautiful building near by the independent square in Colombo.
I took sashimis and makis and my husband chose sereval hot dishes, everything were fresh and tasty.
The team is smiling and attentive. A particular thanks to David who took great care of us.

Been an avid patron since tsukiji started in 2014 BUT
After location change frm clock tower the place has a horrible vibe, terrible staff and menu prices have doubled for no reason.
Food also not the best even though the menu is the same from clock tower - the taste is totally different
Better off going to Kuuraku at Park Street mews.
RIP 2014 - 2024 I won't be visiting again

One of the best service that I received from the time of my entry to the restaurant. David and his team was well trained to provide one of the best services to there customers I have been to many restaurants but never felt this welcome by any restaurant. The food was amazing we had ordered different varieties of dishes which was catered to perfection I would want to recommend sake colombo restaurant and there staff to everyone. Thank you again David and his team for providing us with the best food and service.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in the city has shifted to a new location which is even better than the last location. As usual our guy mr. David is one of the best for hosting the dining scene in Colombo. Had a nice lunch of fresh sushi and sake.

We were pleasantly greated at the door by Yadushan who was our waiter. As a vegetarian his recommendation, the Yakishoba noodles, was a great pick which we all really enjoyed. We also ordered the chicken katsu which was also enjoyed. As amateurs to japanese food, Yadushan really openede our eyes to this wonderful cuisine.

Staff is very friendly and this is a place where you can have authentic Japanese culinary experience. The ambience is very welcoming and the location is very convenient with ample parking space. Great place to hangout with friends. They have nice dessert options as well.

We had a great time at Sake Colombo. It was our first time trying out Japanese cuisine and safe to say it exceeded our expectations! The chicken katsudon was our favorite dish so far followed by the tempura sushi rolls. The staff was so friendly and it was a really great experience!

The staff was very helpful and on hand, professionalism reminds me of good restaurants in Japan. The food was very good but not the highest tier in Japanese. I ordered a miso ramen and i did not end up slurping it. The sushi was pretty good considering they cant do fresh wasabi and the sake was just right. Overall i would recommend it for a Japanese craving midweek

I stayed in Sri Lanka for a month for work and sightseeing!
I stopped in out of curiosity to see what Japanese food tastes like overseas.
The staff are very friendly to Japanese people, especially the manager David.
The katsudon is a faithful reproduction of the Japanese taste.
I'm full!

Sake Colombo is a place which has maintained their level of quality as per Japanese standards that cannot be rivalled. We just wanted a quick dinner and Yadushan was our server for the night. It is was obvious that they ire the best staff as he was especially warm and alert going out of his way to serve us. The quality of the fish was unparalleled. So happy to see that they have maintained an excellent standard with food and service after all this time, despite many places going through a struggle in these uncertain times.
The staff are undeniably the warmest team around. Being a Japanese food and culture fan for years I think the Japanese would be proud to see Sri Lanka honouring their cuisine and culture in such an exemplary manner.
Well done Sake Colombo By Tsukiji Uoichi!

visited for dinner with my family. we love our japanese food here, the service was great, special mention to Mr yadushan who was very funny and friendly and made it a memorable evening for my family. the dishes were just delicious.Mr Kanchana and staff thank you for a great evening :) deffinietly coming back!! highly recommend if you love japanese food!

Had a great all you can eat buffet with close to 10 plus choices of items to eat from. With friendly service from the team and especially from Yadushan who made us feel welcomed and assisted with our requests. Definitely a must try out experience for an all you can eat Japanese buffet

We had a spontaneous trip around Colombo and decided to visit Tsukiji Uoichi.
The food we had was Ebi Tempura Roll, Tekka Maki, Chicken Yakisoba & Chicken Katsudon and few beverages and dessert.
The food was delicious and was served with utmost care.
The mains took a bit of time to arrive but taste wise it was amazing.
The staff is very friendly and we were supported by David who provided a very very friendly & efficient service.
The ambiance is very peaceful and pleasant.
Would definitely visit here again :)
