We wanted to try this place because it offers traditional food and is apparently a training school for underprivileged youth. It had a very interesting menu. We enjoyed the tarantulas - not seen that anywhere else. We wanted to go back for dinner, but were spoiled by so many other good choices we never made it back.

If you're interested in trying fried tarantulas or sour red ants, this is the stop got you. The dining area is quaint with some outside and indoor tables. Nice ambiance and decor and small gift shop supporting locals. However the meal was mediocre tasting for their prices and all the rave reviews. We ordered Cambodian's favorite chicken wings and only... More

Fantastic menu even though I did not try the spiders, tree ants or crickets! This is a training restaurant for underprivaliged young people. Well worth a visit

Went here as restaurant gives back to local community, as do many places in Cambodia. You can have spiders, silkworms and other creepy crawlies, but we had Amok Fish and Chicken Curry. Both were fabulous, fish was best meal in Cambodia. Great place,we ate outside. Try it, you'll love it.

Went for dinner here and they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Delicious food and lovely ambience sitting on a terrace outside. All perfectly enjoyable and the icing on the cake was that we were supporting a good cause. Thoroughly recommend a visit. Great little shop selling souvenirs which aren't the usual tat and are also supporting the NGOs... More

The restaurant is great, good menu and the food comes really quickly. It's A good way to try tarantula and still eat other/nicer things. The staff was okay, but often a little short.

We visited Romdeng after loving Sandan in Sihanoukville and it didn't disappoint! Excellent quality food (I'd highly recommend the beef with red ants!), we ordered 4 plates and a snack plate to share between 4 of us, and with drinks it only came up to $11 each which was an absolute bargain for the quality and amount of food. Great... More

Bang! One can enjoy a nice meal with a pleasant atmosphere and support a good cause. The food was delicious, I had the beef stir fry with lemongrass along with duck spring rolls as appetizer. Dessert was coconut gelato. It was a perfect combination to enjoy outside on the porch. The lime soda albeit tart, came with simple sugar to... More

Open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 10.30 Pm (kitchen closes 9.30Pm) Romdeng is set in a beautiful colonial building whose wooden carvings, tables, chairs and unique lights were all hand made in Cambodia. The silk goods and cushions adorning Romdeng were made by our students in sewing training at Mith Samlanh and its walls are hung with beautiful paintings produced by young people from the art classes there. All of this plus a pool, free WIFI, a family area and a gift shop mean a visit to Romdeng is a must.

We would like to inform you that ROMDENG Restaurant will be closed for Khmer New Year and will reopen on the 6th of May 2014.
