We came here for a quick dinner, and were reasonably impressed. Food is ok, not gourmet by any means, but tastes good, served promptly at a reasonable price. Free wifi worked well. Western and Asian choices available, we had a burger with nachos, chicken skewers and meatballs. Staff are friendly and table service is attentive.

My father, my friend and myself were out and about wandering the streets of BSB looking for somewhere to have dinner. My father was a little unwell (new foods, heat and humidity) and so we decided to look for something with food a little closer to home (ie. Western food). We stumbled across Café De Royalle, checked out the menu,... More

If you staying in one of the hotels in Bandar Seri begawan, and looking for late night coffee this is the place to go. It's walking distance from Brunei hotel (turn left from the front door and keep walking ) and maybe 10mins walk from Radisson hotel (ask the concierge for directions) Even if you are not staying in bandar..and... Terrible service, overcooked steak and stale vegetables. My friend ordered fresh juices without sugar and it was extremely sweet and watered. And to make it worse, there was a piece of plastic in the juice. No apologies given. Never going back.

I chanced upon this café when I got stuck in the rain after touring SOAS mosque. I got curious and tried it here. If only I knew this place when I arrived BSB at 2am, I could have gone here since it's OPEN 24 HOURS. Note that it's very rare to have 24-hour stores in BSB so if you are... More

This is a good place for an espresso-based coffee in downtown Bandar, not that there are loads of choices, but probably the most intimate of the coffee houses in the area. This establishment also offers a simple but varied western menu, and tends to attract some of the few backpackers that pass through Brunei.

My wife and I called in here for dinner one night while visiting BSB. We ordered a sizzling chicken dish with rice to share and found that the serve was very generous and the food really tasty. This little cafe is comfortable and cosy and most importantly, open 24 hours a day (except for 12 - 2pm on a Friday)... More

There isn't a great deal to do in Brunei past 8 pm, but this place stays open with a nice selection of reasonably priced snacks (curry bun for $1), and slightly expensive mocktails (between $3 and $6). The coffee is real and also similar price. I would much prefer to go here over the chain coffee shop next door. Outdoor... More

Looking for a quiet place to use my laptop while having a hot drink, I tried first the famous Coffee Bean Shop by the SOAS park in the corner, but their Internet Connection failed me twice. Luckily enough, just next to it, is the De'Royalle cafe, smaller in size but having enough comfortable couchs for people to meet and rest.... More
