In Old city Baku, near the double gate, is this restaurant. Seating is outside as well as inside. We arrived for dinner early around 6.30 pm and got a good seat outside. Burc qala is one of the famous restaurants in Baku, Icherisheher. It is mostly famous for its xengel. But we ordered fish farel. It took more than 20minutes, but it worthed the time. Price was 14AZN. We liked it. Was pretty tasty.

Must try local Azeri cuisine .Went for a late brunch after exploring the old city.The food and service were good.Special mention or warm Azeri bread and mangal salad.Also the mixed kebap platter was excellent. Overall great place to dine.
Went for breakfast with my Azerbaijani friends , the waiters were extremely rude , saying if you don’t have reservation leave now ! Later on we stood there with two toddlers waiting for the rest of the family so we can go to another place..., another waiter came saying why are you still standing here we told you we don’t have space ! I’ve never experienced such Service and I’m surprised that they actually have good reviews which I believe they wrote themselves . Very disappointing considering how Azerbaijani people are very polite and hospitable . This is not a way to do business !More
Meals are not tasty, very very high and unreal prices, service is not good and the staff is not kind. Great location to sit and have a tea. But they put conditions when you get only tea there))) awful((
The food we had was really good, especially the lamb liver. the final bill was approximately 65 Manat, which was very reasonable for 3 people, given the quality of the restaurant and the excellent location in the old town. We had fresh bread with hummus and a spicy tomato dip for starter and a pilaf for main with a lovely tomato and herb salad. I cannot fault this. The entire experience was great. The food was delicious and fresh and we never had to...lift a finger to pour our own drinks. Excellent customer service. We sat inside the main building as we wanted non smoking. The setting was also beautiful. Nice atmosphere.More
