We went to Lanterns based on reviews and it's location near our hotel. Like other reviews we didn't have to wait for a table but were seated right away at around 7:30pm. We ordered vegetable spring rolls, chicken and coconut, and chill and lemongrass pork. Everything was delicious! The chicken and coconut is served in an actual coconut which added... More

We went to Lanterns the night after we went to BBQ Un In. The food was soo so good. We had the DIY rice paper rolls, chicken in a coconut and pork clay pot. They were all so delicious! Atmosphere is not as casual as BBQ Un In, but would definitely go back!

It was a friend's birthday when we went out, and when I asked them to bring a surprise ice cream out for him at the end of our meal they did a big birthday song, brought candles, and didn't even put it on our bill! I was so impressed as I was not expecting that at all. The staff were... More

Me and my wife enjoyed the lemongrass beef and the shaking beef. They looked very similar when they showed up but wow did they taste different. Both were great. The lemongrass beef was a bit spicy (they said it would be) The fresh lemon soda was awesome The restaurant was an outdoorsy place. Might be a problem if it rains... More

This place is OK, food is nice and service quick, but it does not stand out as the reviews might suggest. Certainly not worth queuing for as you would have to do mist evenings. Takes credit cards but charges a surcharge.

Went here for dinner during our honeymoon in Nha Trang. On arrival we felt slightly ignored by the staff. Many pushed in front of us for attention (not uncommon). When we were greeted we were seated immediately- we made a reservation through the staff at our hotel. We were initially impressed with our starter of spring rolls and had a... More

Food is average. Pho bo is worse then on nearest corner, but 5 times more expensive. Prices two high. Service also not good. Don't believe there's a queue each evening

Great food. Lovely atmosphere. We had to wait about 20 mins for a table but they were very apologetic and it was worth it. We had 2 starters,2 mains and drinks it was 395,000 vnd.

Description
We have been operating since 2008 and hold half day cooking classes for visitors to Nha Trang at a cost of $24 USD per person. It is a great experience of travelling to the local market, buying food and then preparing 3 dishes as chosen by the guests. We also provide a small recipe book at the completion of the tour, as a memento and keepsake. We are also keen to differentiate ourselves from all the other dining places in Nha Trang and give the customer a unique Vietnamese experience. One area is, we are strongly supporting 12 local orphanages. I spent 2 months travelling through Nha Trang & Vietnam & spent a lot of my time with the children at orphanages. As a result, I am trying to give back to these kids, by teaching them life skills and how the real world operates, outside of the usual visits and photo opportunity. That's where the idea for Lanterns came. We invite kids and their careers to each at least one day per month, but any time they wish to come. We encourage the schools/orphanages to allow the older kids to gain work experience at our place and meet the people who visit Vietnam first hand, in a friendly helpful environment. One thing I am strongly committed to, is making sure the kids are not exploited in any way and nothing is ever done without discussing it & getting approval from the carers involved.
