Visited this restaurant when spending a few days in Hue. Sat outside as inside very full and also very hot. Outside was a concrete area with cars parked. Staff very pleasant.Service was quick. Food very mediocre. We had Hue noodle soup/ crab soup- both good and hot. For a main I had seafood noodle which was some lukewarm prawns and squid... More

It was to be our last meal in Vietnam, so we decided on trying the French fare. Hotel suggestion taken, we were in walking distance to La Carambole. Its a nice place, themed along the lines of a Parisien bistro; bar counter in the corner, white-clothed tables, orcher-coloured walls with an electic mix of pictures. But the surprise was its... Ate here three times during our stay in hue. After two weeks in Vietnam we fancied some european food ( but not a burger ). La Carambole satisfied our yearning in spades! My favourite was the chicken in cream and mushroom sauce, my wife's the duck a l'orange. The vietnamese menu was good also. A special thankyou to Chi for... More

We went here for dinner at the suggestion of our tour guide. This is centrally located next to a number of bars and stores and had a great ambiance. With a French owner, this place had a wide menu variety, allowing our group of six to pick from both local Vietnamese food and Western options (which we appreciated after having... More

After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, I decided to go for lunch when it wouldn't be as busy. It was the right decision! The service was excellent. The food was delicious-I had the mackerel with provence spices and banana crepes. Wine was reasonably priced and it wasn't too busy. There are cheaper places as other reviewers have said but you... After the Check in we walked through the streets and found this lovely restaurant. With a warm welcome we have been accomplished to a table outside. Both staff and food was a memorable experience. We can definetely recommend this Place.

I would recommend multi-course menu. Good selection of wines and good variety of Vietnamese dishes at a decent price

We had a terrific dinner here. My wife had chicken with mushroom cream sauce and I had shrimp with garlic. We both had the onion soup. The shrimp were perfectly prepared but not too garlicky. It was a nice break from the Asian food we've been eating. The total bill including two drinks was $25.00. Great value for fresh food.

The restaurant is a victim of its own success. Very busy and, although my meal came quickly, it was overcooked for duck. As a solo diner, I felt that the manager/ proprietor somewhat grudged my taking a table for two. I had had dinner at the Garlic and Chives the night before and thought the food was better and the... My friend will eat Asian for b, l and dinner but I like a break so it's great that we can eat at the same place. We both had something light first so that we could have something sweet with coffee. I had the citrus tart and it was warm, with beautiful thin pastry and a yummy citrus filling -... More
