We celebrated my Mum's 90th birthday here. She loves old-style classic French dishes and her French onion soup certainly fit the description. Nothing stood-out food wise although my brother's pasta was quite good. However the ambience was great - we sat out on the terrace...More

We tried this restaurant our first night in Saigon. They had a really good bruchetta and steak and the restaurant looks very cozy. The cheeseplate was not that good but apart from this we would reccomend this restaurant! P.S. they were doing some construction work...More

Recommended in many guides, is probably one of the spots to go. Is nice, look old fashion, have a nice terrace (little noisy, construction at the side). The food have a french inspiration, and the decor probably could be in some bistro in Paris. The...More

Really happy we were recommended this place and went to discover it for dinner last night. The atmosphere is very much bistro like as it is intended to be. We sat inside, but the place has a nice terrace as well. We started with cocktails...More

The Refinery is located down this little alley right across the street from the Park Hyatt. Also very near many other hotels such as the Sheraton Saigon. I had a salad with chicken, bacon, and Parmesan. I also ordered some fries with the chili sauce,...More

Hidden away in a little square off the main streets, good service, and good food. Every dish we had was great and the chocolate mousse was perfect!

We were looking for an easy place to dine with some bistro style food, a good glass of wine and a fair service. Basically, we got it all in this place. Nothing really spectacular and also nothing that got a soul factor - on the...More

We came here with friends expecting a good meal. A few of us (myself included), ordered the rack of lamb. It was so tough that none of us could cut it--even with a steak knife! The one piece I managed to pry loose was dry...More

Description
Decorated in the greatest of Paris Bistro tradition, The Refinery is a lovely French Brasserie and Wine Bar located in Saigon’s old Manufacture d'Opium. Tucked away in a quiet and secluded courtyard, The Refinery offers a vast covered outdoor terrace with comfy whicker armchairs to relax the day away as well as a tastefully decorated indoor space. While the bistro serves excellent food - do not leave without trying the “Filet Mignon” - the wine selection is superb with 17 Old and New World wines on offer by the glass. On weekends, a very popular brunch with a complimentary chocolate fountain and a dedicated kids' corner - complete with a "home nanny" - delights children and adults alike. A visit to The Refinery is good any time of the day, whether for a glass of wine selected from their temperature controlled wine dispenser, for their happy hour with special prices on all FOOD & DRINKS listed in the bar menu, for a weekday set lunch, a business meeting or a romantic dinner.
