We ate here 3 time while in Hanoi I have read about the small portions but this restraunt caters for local dinners for 100 years and they are not gluttons as we in the west are and for $6.00 why not get a snack somewhere...More

My friends, colleagues and acquaintances in Hanoi have boycotted this place since long. They have benefited by a false reputation unfortunately produced by people who don't know much about our food. The food is nothing better than other Cha Ca restaurants in Hanoi, the price...More

There are so many nice cha ca places around Hanoi. This is totally skippable. You sit in such a tight space, where the staff act with such authority of being a “heritage restaurant.” The fish weren’t of great quality, and by the end of the...More

Went there for Cha Ca after a number of years - this is probably the 3rd or 4th time eating there. The food is basically fried fish (although it's advertised as grilled) in a pan fired by solid/gel fuel. The fish sits in some oil...More

Delicious, beautifully cooked cha ca, with generous heaps of fresh herbs on bed of rice noodles, and a sprinkle of nuts. Very filling and satisfying. Definitely one of the best meals I had in Vietnam!

Too expensive for what it is, the portion is very small, I left the restaurant hungry and paid around 7 euros / person which is very expensive for Vietnam. The chá cá dish itself is tasty but the restaurant is not worth the visit. Staff...More
