Went for a dinner tonight at Benkay. Thinking that Hotel Nikko has always been a decent Japanese hotel. Its Japanese restaurant should be good if not the best in town. Nevertheless, it ended up as a great disappointment tonight! I strongly recommend fellow readers to avoid this restaurant! Service level is ridiculous for such a prestigious hotel. No one greets... Been to this restuarant before. Good and quiet place. For 4 people you can get a private room. Sashimi is wonderful. So is the Augus prime beef. The summer mochi runs out. So order early. Sake selection here is good but expensive as well. Probably more than 50% of your total bill. Been to Le beauliu. 1911. Benkay. All good... More

This restaurant is inside Nikko Hotel, so expect to pay five star prices. For the high quality of food, this restaurant met my expectations. It was a weekend, and set lunches were available but we ordered a la carte. Nothing was amiss with the service. It was an enjoyable time.

I visited there for lunch time and only few customers. But waiter did not come to get order long time. Food taste is good but why 5% service charge??

Great place for quality Japanese food cooked by a Japanese chef. Very quiet atmosphere. Wonderful place for a change from the noise and chaos outside. Down side (to me): This is a non-smoking restaurant but smoking is allowed in the private booths inside the restaurant space, which being Japanese-style (not airtight) can let through heavy cigar odour. If you are... More

"Benkei" is located within Nikko Hotel. I visit this restaurant when I want to feel Japan's atmosphere. Inside of restaurant is so quiet! I think "Benkei" is the best Japanese cuisine restaurant in Ha Noi. I recommend this restaurant. オススメします。

You know what. The food was actually good, I was actually disappointed with service, the girls serving were very slow, and unprofessional. I don't know what it was, the service did not settle very well. Hard to get a smile out of them. I can here them chattering behind the separators, it's like they served us differently because of our... More

If you are a lover of good sushi and want good quality, this is probably the best place in Hanoi. All the fish was perfect! We were there with friends from Tokyo and we were all very happy with the food and the meal!

Had a dinner there with friends, we ordered shabu shabu. Taste was not bad, but food a bit pricey when compare to other good Japanese restaurants in Vietnam. Wasn't quite happy with the service as we were told by the staff a few times to finish the meal. It was not that late..

This is a truly Japanese restaurant located downtown Hanoi within the Nikko Hotel. The menu is really impressive, with a lot of real Japanese plates. No fusion or fake food here. On Sunday there are meals sets with a good dessert buffet located in the middle of the hall. Quality wise food is very well prepared and served properly.
