We just wandered here on our own a little after lunch time as the last of the customers were leaving and staff had already started cleaning yet they were ready to serve us. There was a lone English speaking staff who explained the process. We opted for a cobra which was cooked into 10 different dishes. The blood n bile... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We asked about some of the others and we were told this is where the locals go. Our hotel arranged for a taxi. It cost about $120k dong from old quarter. It was dark when we arrived and there was little street lighting. The road and alleys were narrow. It made my friend... More

The location is far from the center of the city, but its worth the trip for this authentic experience. In spite of the few negative reviews inaccuratly dismissing this as a touristy place, this is a truly northern Vietnamese experience. Our table was a mix of locals and expats, but beyond that, there were only locals eating here. We ate... More

This is not a restaurant for the faint of heart. You choose a snake, either a bamboo snake or a cobra. A cobra costs about a million VND (£17). The snake is butchered in front of you and the still-beating heart is put into a glass of vodka for the bravest to down. The snake makes loads of dishes or... More

This was by far the most weird food experience i've ever had, This restaurant is hidden between the narrow streets of the snake village Hanoi, it is a fancy place and not an underground thing "as we have taught" you get to chose your snake, they prepare it for you and you get to drink the blood with Vodka, and... My boyfriend and I were visiting Hanoi, and heard about the snake restaurants. Given the fact that we were on an adventure to try new food, we couldn't pass it up! I will keep my review short and sweet... We were so glad we tried it. The food was amazing, and very reasonably priced for what you get! They prepared... More
