This has always been one of our favorite restaurants. Unfortunately have not been here For two years because of Covid. So happy to be back and the Swan is still as delicious and tasty as ever. Prices are still extremely reasonable. Definitely worth a special...trip.More
We were Thailand for a 2 week vacation and we visited Bangkok, Phuket and Chaing Mai. Out of all of the places we ate at on this trip, this place by far was the best food we had. Par Pat Toke was simply phenomenal!
Truly enjoyed the food. The penny leave salad brought back memories of time spent in Myanmar. Greatful that the food was less oily than in some restaurants in Myanmar
This Burmese restaurant just north of Thapae Gate is a step or two up from the average street restaurant. For one thing, it’s not actually on the street—its decorated entry hall leads to an open-air dining room replete with a small garden, Buddhist sculptures, and...goldfish pond. I like the salads and stir-fry dishes best. The waitstaff also kept my prescription sunglasses behind the counter for a week when I left them there and thought I’d lost them somewhere else.More
Nice burmese restaurant, near the gate. Delicious dishes, and very affordable. Different atmosphere and taste as the fantastic Thai cuisine. Try to have a table more by the window, deeper in the restaurant I found it a little too dark.
Best tea salad outside Burma Ate twice but would have eaten 3 times if it wasn’t closed Great bean salad too washed down with ice cold beers Service was lovely and great value
With Myanmar cuisine being one of our favourite and living for years in Mandalay we truly looked forward to this visit. Unfortunately the food was a bit of a let down flavour wise. The Laphet thoke was good, the comfort that only a tealeaf salad...can give was there. Having had many bowls of Shan Kao Swè for lunch we were let down by the taste of the Shan noodles, or the lack of taste. The yummy green mustard pickles, chilli oil and fried garlic (or tofu fritters when lucky) often served as a topping / side and adding so much to this dish were left out unfortunately. The chicken curry was ok. The setting is really nice and so is the staff. Shan Kao Swè Laphet thoke Kyat thar hinMore
Visited this restaurant a few days ago. Never had birmese food before but I loved it. Don't know for sure the meal that I had but it was something vegetarian with tofu. Great taste some of the best dishes I had the last few weeks.
Great restaurant with absolutely delicious food, everything was scrumptious, would visit again if I went back to Chiang Mai
Delicious Burmese cuisine served in a very relaxing and pleasant environment. What I ate was all excellent. Congratulations! See you soon.
Menu full of great meals. The green tea salad is a must. Their curries are delicious especially the Hinley curry. Highly recommended
Excellent burmese restaurant low priced. Food is great, tasty and full of flavors. I had an Inlay curry delicious at 110 thb Atmosphere is relaxing. Should say that the service is slow and not what it should be. Glass of house wine is average. Regarding...the food it's worth the detourMore
Was introduced to The Swan on a food tour and made sure to go back for a second meal! This place has outstanding vegetarian food. The pennywort salad had amazing flavor, was unlike anything I’ve had before. Also had a wonderful tomato and chili soup,...and tofu dish. Strongly recommend The Swan!More
Really enjoyed this place I had Burmese Khao Soy with minced pork which was lovely! The atmosphere was good and busy and the staff were really attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend!
