Commendably heedless of trends, gimmicks and chicanery so prevalent in the world of restaurants, it attracts a steady stream of Swiss expats and their familes plus a fair share of well behaved Thais in the know. Yep, they know and appreciate cooking that delivers satisfaction where it matters rather than any attempt to wow thrill seekers. They've got it right.... More

Went, again, to Chesa. This time they have asparagus promotion, freshly imported from Germany. Both the starter, Asparagus with foie gras & the main course Risotto with asparagus wash perfectly made. Some scoops of Movenpick icecream ended a nice evening

Come here for the Sunday brunch al a carte buffet. The food was exceptional, rich flavoursome food using great quality ingredients. They are famous for their raclette cheese! Free flow sparkling wine is served during the buffet. The staff are efficient and the food is served quickly. Dishes are small so you can choose.lots of items.

In Soi 20, Sukhumvit, this is my fondu retreat in Bangkok. Some places may use only emmanthaler cheese (Swiss cheese), but here they use guyere, so it is more expensive.

Great meal & you almost get what you pay for. Service is average at best, but for Thailand that's the norm. The fondue & raclette cheese was the highlight.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
