My wife and I decided to try this German restaurant. Looks like it has seen better days. The food was bland even for German food and overpriced.

My friend found this place on the internet. We wanted German food, but did not know where to go.We absolutely loved this restaurant and this restaurant is absolutely authentically German. The food was good-we had Wiener Schnitzel, shpatzle and Hoffbrau lager.

I first ate here in 1989. How nice to report that it has not changed one bit in all those years. Hearty German fare. Great beer (possibly the best selection of draft German beers on tap in the whole city). Credible wine list. Reasonable prices. Excellent staff. Open all hours. With an interesting Deli next door with everything from smoked... More

We had a great lunch at Otto but we left with 200USD bill for 4 person lunch that's way too expensive for Thailand and Bangkok. The food is authentic and big portions but considering the rather slow service and no ice water is served again the price for the dishes and the service is too expensive. A deduction of 20%... More

This is my second visit to this great restaurant. Fabulous atmosphere in the middle of Bangkok. We had the crispy pork knuckle and homemade sausages. Both dishes very incredible good. I have to admit I never been in Germany but my foreign boyfriend says that the flavour of the food is very genuine. As he was drinking German beer all... More

Always when I am in Sukhumvit area I have to go to Bei Otto. Most authentic German food and great draught beer from Munich. My friends and me shared the Christmas Platter which was brilliant. The imported goose was the highlight. A must try!!!! Thank you to the Bei Otto team!!!! Until soon

I do not recommend this place due to poor quality food (my meat was raw and poorly cooked) and the high price service ratio.

The food was served almost cold, and was not what I ordered. But worst of all, it was just dumped on the table, and the waitress walked away, without smiling, or asking me if I wanted anything else. I would have loved to have some mustard. This place is quite expensive for Bangkok, and they should make sure the service... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
