I regularly have lunch at Le Bouchon, and have never been disappointed by either the food or the service. Its a real gem. A couple caveats: 1. Reservations recommended; and 2. Not wheelchair friendly (especially the bathroom).

This place has been my favourite for the past decade in Bangkok. Serge graciously entertains his customers who often are becoming friends. The food is as it has always been here: creative with deep Lyon's roots. A must. Highly recommanded.

Classic French bistro style dining in a quiet retreat in one of the most incongruous environments imaginable ( think girlie bars, ladyboy shows etc !) Great food, service and company .... but certain nlt not for the classic younger PatPong crowd! Recommended.

This hidden gem, a bit hard to find, is a peace haven in the middle of the noisy and crowded Patpong. Push the door and you are in Lyon. Cosy and warmly atmosphere, the food is just to die for. From snails to duck terrine, from duck confit to sea bass, you just have to come back to taste other... More

Once you get past the go-go bars and all that on the outside you walk in and ask "Wait, am I in Lyon?" Truly a great find in an unusual location, great French food in the middle of seedy Bangkok. The steak tartare was the big hit of the evening (actually two evenings; we loved it so much we had... More

The usual tartar prepared by Serge is always great. A must visit place in BKK. An atmosphere full of Bangkok's spirit. Great host as usual......JPÇ

Large food selection there. Pretty aithentic and tasty. Quiet environment for a proper date. Probably not family friendly because it is in the red light district.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
