We wanted to have a look at the OP Place and Garden. Found this restaurant in OP garden moved onto OP Place then came back to the Mango Tree for a light lunch. Great service and excellent food, not busy at all outside. What a gem.

Found this place "at random" - in a small, quite street (actually behind the Mandarin Oriental). Intimate garden place -with excellent jazz music (eventually not every night). Superb Thai food - great service. Hardly can be better

Try some of the more unusual dishes like pomelo salad and crab cakes. Mango Tree has all the usual Thai favourites and some unusual dishes, too.

Came here relatively late, for a quick meal. QUICK meal = QUICK report… and this is what I think: PLACE: nicely set up, and really clean. Sitting outside in the evening is a delight, and I liked that. STAFF: Friendly and fast – always a plus FOOD: Huge miss on the started… great main meal… average desert… very good wine... More

this was my last thai food meal before heading to the airport. its only a few steps away from the mandarin oriental. quiet area, nice outdoor setting. the food was good. pricey but i guess its because of the area. the portion was big. decent authentic thai food and the mango sticky rice is not to be missed!

My wife and I happened upon this oasis from the traffic noise as we made our way back to our hotel. The restaurant is tucked away in a lovely secluded garden with a wall at the back that has water trickling down it into a pool where carp swim. The menu is Thai and both of our dishes were excellent;... More

This is a walk from the Oriental Mandarin and is outdoor dining in a quiet Soi of Chareon Krung. The food is pretty expensive by Bangkok standards but quality. beautifully presented and the waiters were attentive. A nice light jazz trio played the night we were there. A lovely relaxing evening in quiet surrounds

Stopped here after being referred by the staff at the Mandarin Oriental. We were not disappointed. The food was AMAZING! The pork satay was out of this world and the red duck curry was incredible(and spicy)! We loved it! Plus the koi in the pond "beg" for food which is a sight to be seen. Five stars!

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
