Visited this restaurant in 2014, this restaurant was opposite to the hotel where I was staying in Sukhumvit Soi 2. Nice Islamic culture. Find and delicious dishes. Will again visit this restaurant when in Bangkok next time.

After reading reviews of Arabesque, decided to go there for dinner, opting to sit inside the covered area which is decorated in typical Egyptian designs and paintings. Awesome Egyptian bread with hummus, well cooked tender lamb served with rice and fantastic Om Ali dessert! Staff were helpful and recommended some of the food which was good. Only missing the Egyptian... More

I was especially disappointed that they buy their pita from Foodland down the road. And it wasn't fresh. Helpings were fairly generous. The falafel was so dry. All in all a very average experience.

I went with a group of 10 friends and out of a huge list of various cuisines we ordered, only these rice (in picture) were worth the money. The service is extremely poor, the gap between the servings is enormous and they even forget to serve you the food but put it in the bill. There was a fight between... More

After reading the reviews I thought I would give Arabesque a shot as it was a rainy night in Bangkok and they are located across the street from my hotel. I was a bit disappointed. First I ordered the spinach sambousak but they were unavailable. The server offered me a mix of meat and cheese sambousak. 4 pieces, 3 of... More

With a classic wood fired oven, we enjoyed the food at this Egyptian restaurant. The lamb was cooked very tender along with well presented sides and friendly service.

This is a good restaurant serving excellent Egyptian and other Middle East dishes. here are too many choices to list here, but the quality was good. Non-alcoholic drinks only but they serve great juices. It has good otside seating and since it is in a quiet Soi there are no traffic problems.

Visited this restaurant as was round the corner from our hotel. Excellent service, bread was puffy, hot and fresh. Meat was hot and halal duck! Really enjoyed the Tagine. A must visit if you are after halal in Bangkok.

Had a late lunch on a late afternoon. Restaurant was not busy, didn't feel much of a warm welcome. Ordered mezze platter. Everything was bland and underspiced. I like Middle Eastern food, and thought I would be in for a treat in Bangkok. I ordered lamb chops medium rare, got some paper thin way overcooked chops, barely edible. Also ordered... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
