The food and the service were excellent. However, the drink (Chinese tea) was charged tooo expensively per person. In any case, my friends and I are sure to go back there again.

We enjoyed our visit to the Mayflower restaurant - the service was excellent and staff were very attentive. We enjoyed the food, although it wasn't as flavourful as we had expected. My husband commented that the wanton noodle soup he ordered from room service at the Dusit Thani was nicer than the wanton noodle soup he had at this restaurant.... More

I visited the Mayflower for a business meeting for a group of 20 peopel and ordered a chinese dinner set menu No.3. A few dishes like STEAMED SNOW FISH WITH LIME AND CHILLI SAUCE and BARBECUED PEKING DUCK (the sauce) were a bit salty but acceptable. I was impressed with the quality of service. Staff was very helpful and polite.... More

It was a really great experience for authentically dining in Cantonese style. Staff is very knowledgeable and warmly welcomed us. My family is very happy and we would love to recommend our friends to experience this special restaurant once. We wanted to plan to visit Dusit Thani Bangkok and enjoyed special Cantonese food at The Mayflower again.

We had a delightful meal here for my Birthday - which was one of the only places open due to a religious festival in the city. The food was plentiful, well priced (for a 5 star restaurant) and the service was impeccable. Make sure you try the 'special' menu items that are marked - they are the best!

After more than 20(?) years, the restaurant is still a great place to enjoy good dimsum and other Chinese dishes. The service was good, so was the food, with a great ambience.

This place is very nicely decorated ... Lots of old world charm. Service is good. Food is average to good. Dim sum did not meet my expectations when using HK standards to measure.

Was given the table de Hote menu. Never offered Al la Carte. Items limited. Opted for wonton soups (good) grilled prawn (bad) and stir fried beef without mushrooms. Yes it came with mushrooms. Not acceptable given cost. Staff knew nothing of beers on the menu especially non alcoholic ones. Given that they charge nearly €10 euro for a bottle++ not... More

Traditional and classy chinese restaurant. No surprises in the menu, something a bit disappointing, but overall a good meal.

Always a favourite, never disappoints! Our family group of five had Hot and Sour Soup, Treasures soup, fried Prawn balls, drunken Chicken for starters. Followed by Crystal Prawns with spicy sauce (nice large size, well worth the 350/ea), Seabass with black pepper sauce, and hong kong kale with conpoy. All excellent. Service is superb and atmosphere is classical.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
