I have eaten numerous times at both branches of Chu without a problem and have always enjoyed it. But last night at the Silom branch, something had a healthy dose of MSG. I can never discern that a dish has MSG as I am consuming it, but the allergic after effect for me is not worth it. As much as... More

This review is for their Silom branch. Cafe is located downstairs of the hotel I was staying at. Ordered the eggs Benedict and it was the worst breakfast I've had - poached eggs were more boiled than poached, plus they were cold and so was the entire breakfast including the bacon. They were overpriced for what this ended being. The... More

This spot does terrific Western breakfast food. Pancakes, waffles, big breakfast combos, great hot chocolate too (the Belgian Hot Chocolate is much better than their signature one, which tastes very average). But the price? Ridiculous price for Thailand. For a batch of 3 pancakes with maple syrup and two hot chocolates I paid almost 700 baht, which is around 18... More

Came here for breakfast and it is ridiculously overpriced! For BKK, this was definitely targeting expats in the Asok area. There was just 2 of us, but the bill was 900 baht for brunch! Not to mention their coffee is too bitter. Couldn't even finish my regular cup of latte.

Let me begin by saying this review is about Chu's other location @ Sathon. This Chu is great, service is always great, food is great, location is great. It's a real shame that the other location is tarnishing Chu's excellent reputation. Second, I'll admit that I'm a discount addict. I use Eatigo to take advantage of the killer deal on... More

Everything on the menu looked great. We had a pulled pork sandwich, eggs benny, a salad, a few smoothies and a milkshake. I'd happily go back again and again. Hint, use the "eat I go" app in order to get half off.

Great place for food, pasta, soup, salads and more. The best is dessert and if you are a fan of chocolate drinks, this is the place. They have 70%, 58%, 20% dark chocolate drink. They serve it hot or cold. The chicken pesto panini was a little over-toasted. Ambience of the place is a typical cafe, people chatting away.

It was by chance that I found this cafe and I was so lucky for that. The pancakes and poached eggs were amazing!!!! So was the chocolate drink. A must place to have breakfast if u like English breakfast. The maple syrup with berry pancake was simply awesome !

We went for breakfast and had poached eggs served on a biscuit (scone). I also had a mocha which was really rich and delicious. The prices are ++ but if you join as a member you can save 20%. It's a great day time place or if you are staying in the hotel a nice place for a beer or... More

Had some great hot chocolate, truffles, and honestly the best pumpkin pie I've had in Asia here. I'm a big fan of rich, deep textures and flavors in chocolate, and this place met that mark. As for the pumpkin pie, it was the season, so I couldn't help myself - what a great surprise! How happy I was to have... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
