Great pizzas and pasta, comfortable atmosphere with a really friendly and professional chef. Probably the best pizza I had in Bangkok.

Except its name everything has been changed with the new manager & chef. the small space is very well-decorated and it gives you a welcoming feeling. Food is absolutely good and I can say its one of the best in town. The chef is a real gentleman and very welcoming. I thought it is unfair to keep my old review... More

A tiny restaurant a bit off the beaten track and away from public transport, this place is worth visiting, as the owner-chef cooks to your heart's delight. Very authentic and all freshly prepared, the pasta, salads and desserts are first rate. Glad we found this place and we will hopefully be back soon. Don't miss trying the home made Limoncello.... As an Italian living in Bangkok I am quite suspicious toward Italian restaurants in Thailand. Following the invitation of a friend I accomplished her to pay a visit to "La Tana". As others reviewers already underlined, La Tana is a very small venue: I counted a total of 12 seats: therefore booking is mandatory. The small hall is anyway comfortable... More

As a student, I had the privilege of spending a month in Florence. I was reminded of the heights of that culinary experience at La Tana. We started with pizza with salmon and squid ink. I’ve only had squid ink pasta, so it was a joy to see (and taste) Chef Carlo’s own creation. The next dish was the blue... More

It's like eating at home, freshly prepared genuine Italian food, prepared by the (of course Italian) owner who cooks himself with fresh products and serves also the dishes. A unique place with just a few tables for about 12 persons, so you better book in advance. Also home delivery and take away, subject to his availability!

I have eaten here a few times and everything has always been excellent. The food is very good (especially the pizza!) with a friendly owner and good wine. The setting is small and quaint.

This is a real cozy and super-small restaurant where the contacts with the Boss (the cook) are through a curtain, casual and friendly. You can't feel better "home"... But the particularity of this restaurant is no doubt the food. Fresh and home made: tasty and real ITALIAN. His suggestions are no doubt the certainty that you will enjoy a real... More

We found this restaurant by complete accident. It is a small place, ideal for couples, hidden in a side road off Sukhamvit 55. We were only in Bangkok for 5 days and we ate here twice, it would have been 3 times if we had had time. The pizzas were original, thin bases with excellent ingredients. The chef was a... More

Description
I am an executive Italian Chef with 30 years experience. I serve original Italian dishes with a touch of my personality, but also my own recipes issued after years of research. Because of the limited number of seats, in my restaurant you will find a intimate and friendly atmosphere, ideal for laid back evenings and romantic dinners.

Staying in Thong Lor & Ekamai

Neighbourhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.
