We ate twice in Chinatown, and what is great here is the so many options and variety that you can find here. Both dinners were amazingly delicious, but one of them stand out as the best meal I had in Bangkok. It was in a stall on Soi Yaowarat 11, on the left side when come from Yaowarat Road. They... More

Anyone heading to Chinatown in Bangkok has to sample the awesome street food, it seems hectic but the staff have been doing it for years and your always looked after. Basic seating and tables but the food is awesome and freshly cooked.

The night tour of Chinatown is great. All of the street food vendors come out and the food is amazing. Everything from scorpions to Pad Thai. We ate at amazing seafood restaurant that cooks the seafood on the street. A fusion of Chinese and Thai cooking. We did this by Tuk Tuk which is a very nice way to do... More

Great food, electric atmosphere, really Asian. We love going down here to eat sometimes its best if you get there a little before supper time as it does get busy. Its just pure fun you can even eat you way along by having starters at one place wander on hitting a main course or two and then end up with... More

We went to the seafood stalls on a Sunday night. We decided to stroll around and look at everything before eating ad it was a bit early for dinner. By the time we returned to the good stalls , they were packed out and even had queues forming. My advice would be to go before dark, grab a seat in... More

This place just heaves with people up and down Yaowarat Rd every night eating in the street food stalls. Just a fabulous atmosphere. If you like Chinese food and seafood is a specialty here with a Thai twist then this place is for you. Be warned if you are looking for more traditional Thai food this isn't really the street... Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
