The restaurant is in a nice setting, but I think the lights are too bright. The food was okay, but nothing special in relation to the price. 4 dishes without any drinks cost Bt1600 total (incl the vat and service). The portions were mid sized, so 2 dishes per person was about right. It was slow and the service was... More

Absolutely lovely garden setting at the end of a small street near the canal. Food was good, but not great. Although there were only 2 or 3 seated tables, service was not attentive, staff were chatting away for 15 minutes oblivious that we wanted our check to leave. With a little improvement of service it would be great and full... More

Dear Paul H Thanks for your review. It’s all about consistency and I think I know what happened. The previous week we were madly busy and the following week also. The week you visited was unduly quiet and of course that's when things can get sloppy! Glad you enjoyed the food and the atmosphere – just sorry about the lackadaisical... More

A bit hard to find but it was near the Bumrungrad hospital on a back street. Great ambiance with outdoor seating next to the pool. The menu looked great and there is a list of recommended dishes on the first page. I had the pomello salad and a dish with fresh water crab that was outstanding. Good service and great... More

We visited Bangkok and found a plethora of restaurants with a few items that were vegetarian. Na Aroon stood apart as it was 90 percent vegetarian menu with some seafood items as well. Many of their dishes cleverly substitute tofu and mock meats. I'm not usually a big fan of mock meat dishes but they were actually were good here... More

Since BTS is the easiest and fastest way for me to get around In Bangkok, I took BTS to get to this place. I stopped at BTS Phloen Chit and walked toward the railway to Sukhumvit Soi 1. After crossing the railway, I turned left to Sukhumvit Soi 1, walked until the end of the road and I found Na... More

We've had breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks in this exquisite, fragrant haven of peace and tranquility, it's like stepping into another world, an oasis amidst the busy, noisy Bangkok streets. The people working here are all lovely. The food is superb. Sit inside or outside, both are beautiful. Although it's mostly delicious Thai fare - veggie and seafood - there... More

'Na-Aroon' is truly Bangkok's vegetarian equivalent of the proverbial "needle in a haystack!" A mix of Thai & Western dishes share the menu. The setting is beautiful (you can stay upstairs at Ariyasom Villa hotel). The service is warm and welcoming. It's easily reached at the end of Soi 1 off of Sukhumvit Road. And although there is some meat... More

Penang yellow curry is my favorite. They have a wonderful selection of vegetable dishes and fish dishes. Deserts are good too but sometimes too sweet after the lovely curries.

Description
Welcome to “Na Aroon” Restaurant at Ariyasomvilla Boutique Hotel and Spa. As you may be aware we try to produce a healthy but tasty cuisine. Our food is mainly vegetarian and we have an extensive range of seafood. We do not sell meat. We do not use MSG, food coloring, preservatives. We do use as much organic materials as we can and we try to ensure that we know the provenance of our food stuffs. We use good quality oil and properly fermented soy sauce. Please ask our staff for help on menu selection if you need assistance. Where as most of our vegetarian food is “mang sawirat” ( no killing) we can produce good tasty food for vegans and even “Jay” ( Chinese vegetarians). Please let us know if you eat eggs or not.Our western desserts are not quite so healthy but are all homemade and quite delicious! We use a good deal of fresh produce from the Kings’ project – Doi Khum – fresh strawberries, gooseberries, figs, rhubarb, raspberries – to name a few.We look forward to having you with us.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
