Having enjoyed this restaurant several years ago, a return trip was disappointing. Staff were bored as were one of only two tables for lunch and the food was really nothing special.

I went for dinner by myself, around 6pm. There were 2 other tables, that were well in their dinners. I ordered 2 dishes, waited for 30mins, and when i asked the staff, their just looked at me dumb-founded, and smirked. As I contemplated on leaving, 2 gentlemen came, ordered, and their food came within 10-15 minutes. My dishes finally came... More

We found this restaurant on tripadvisor. It was a 15 minute walk from lebua hotel. It is set back from the main street at what seems like a carpark. Although this doesn't sound appealing, the restaurant looks really nice. It is like an old wooden colonial house. Both outside and inside look very nice. There is a lot of food... More

I have read a recommendation in a travel blog so we decided to go there during our next Bangkok visit. The restaurant is a little bit hidden, but definitely worth the way! For somtam (papaya salad) lovers is it a paradise - huge diversity. Yummy. And all the rest of our food was very good.

One of the best places to have excellent Thai (mainly Issan) food in town. Try the Pla Krapong Neung Manao, it is worth the wait for them to prepare this one.

Haven't been here for several years, but had the feeling that nothing much had changed. Good service, really tasty dishes (especially the Isan sausage). Hope to get back there soon.

This was my first time eating Thai food in Thailand, so I might be off with the scoring, but if this was in the UK, there would be queues out of the door. As it was, we were the only ones in. Why? Is there better food somewhere else? I can't really believe that there is in terms of food... More

This nice restaurant has a retro, cozy decor. We had dinner here during a very quiet night and had a very nice meal, inclusive of starters rolled in betel leaves, a delicious chicken salad for me and sirloin for my husband. The food tasted fresh and the sauces accompanying it were really hot, which made it for a pleasant change,... More

Went on my trip tobangkok after reading so many good reviews about this place on tripadvisor. Being a foodhollic Live open kitchen has always attracted me. Serves some real good salads. Definitely worth a visit for sea food lovers.

We went here with local friends and it was a real treat. The old building has somehow survived the development of Bangkok and is a great reminder of how things were in days past. The menu is very much of the boarder region and is a great way to expand your culenary knowledge of this part of Asia. Very helpful... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
