I was in Mango Tree Surawongse in the beginning of march 2017, by recommendation of the hotel... I usually feel disappointed with restaurants recommended by hotels, but this was not the case. The food was very well presented, very tasty, the location was walking distance from our hotel, and the decor is also very nice. The prices are similar to... More

We were used to go there everytime we stop in Bangkok since 2005. We sure enjoyed this place for the memories we had rather than the experience but this one will be the last. Food was far from ok and the service worse than usual, we were used to non smiling waiters (even more shocking that in Thaïland) but this... More

Good Thai food with reasonable prices. Had a typical chicken with cashew nuts and the portion was suprisingly tasty and reasonably priced. My spouse enjoyed Thai shrimp soup ehich was tasty and very spicy. Sticky rise with Mango was as good as always.

Visited this restaurant tonight, overpriced for what it was, service was poor, asked for water before our meal and received it after our meal, had to pay for it. Menus where still on our table for two when we were leaving. Mains where good but did not even nearly warrant the price, same dishes on the same street for 50%.... More

Dinner was average. Do not expect fine dining, more like a chain restaurant. The menu was extensive but none of what we ordered was really spectacular.

Great atmosphere, seated at the garden area. Live performance of thai cultural dance when I was there. Not to sure if it is a daily thing. Delicious thai food. Everything that you needed to try is in Mango Tree. It is pretty busy during peak hour of dinner.

The food was good, but the service was slow and the restaurant wasn't even busy. It was good enough, but not for a return visit.

Thank Alison F

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
