Our bill came up Baht 6710 all because of the restaurant staff who doubled our orders for some dishes. When we disputed he refused to admit his mistake. The taste and quality of the dishes were horrible. Clams, vegetables, pineapple rice were tasteless.

Awful experience, with relatively high price and low /bad quality. Service staff is unfriendly. Better avoid this place.

Look. If you go to a Thai restaurant and order singapore-malayan food, please do not judge the food via your (little) world standard. it's like going to a steakhouse to order a chicken salad and complaining that the salad isn't as good as one from your nearby deli. That being said, this is a place that I go to a... More

Pro: spicy steam fish and lime sauce, nice soups + birth nest Con: cleanness; men's toilet was stuffed Overall: decent seafood place with reasonable prices. Most people come here for the bird nest soup Probably won't come back unless we crave for bird nest....

this is definitely not a place for anti-sharkhunting enviromentalists. however, there are plenty on offer apart from sharks' fin. try the omelette and and birds' nest for a taste of the orient. two other make-shift restaurants are also available just 5 steps away: coded starkly with either GREEN or RED. take your pick!

The bird nest with coconut milk served in coconut was quite special. The general ambiance is very old school Chinese restaurant. The other food was just average.

This Chinese restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at the Twin Towers Hotel. Despite the Visa sign in the window, they would not accept my Visa card and insisted on payment in cash. The food was acceptable. The staff did not speak English but most items on the menu had pictures so it was not difficult to order.... More

This is definitely the worst sharksfin soup I had ever tasted. It's bland and soggy. Soup tasted like it was cooked without any passion. Fried vegetables was soggy n tasteless. The fried rice was alright. The servers forgot to serve us and we had to ask at least 4 times. Really do not understand what is the draw. Never trust... More

Food is slightly above average at a very reasonable price. They probably had a drop in standard since my last visit in 2012 but generally acceptable.

Been here twice.. food is still as good! Must order: Shark Fin, Bird Nest,Oyster Omelette (super generous with the oyster!) and Prawns. Price is reasonable too! Will definitely be back the next time I visit BKK!

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
