I ate dinner on the deck adjacent to the Chao Phrya river. I arrived on a Friday and was seated right away. Attentive wait staff, mouth-watering food and great view of the river and Wat Arun on the other side of the city.

I stopped there this afternoon and ordered a chicken pad Thai and a coconut juice! All i can say is the pad thai was unedible! All stick together! I was really starving but just had a bite!

Stopped for lunch as was very hungry, staff spoke excellent English which is a result as my Thai is shamefully poor!! Had a huge bowl of tom yum full of chicken and mushrooms and the days special of minced pork and finely diced mushroom with rice and a traditional Thai ice tea for not much more than street food, place... I So enjoyed this curry I had to share about it. The staff is super friendly and the prices are very low, even for Thailand. The green curry was so delicious. Come here after Wat Po temple and enjoy!

Veggie friendly place too! Delicious, AC, comfortable. Traditional Thai dishes as well as Western breakfast options. Reasonable prices for a tourist area too.

I was thirsty, hungry, and I needed to pee. Two good and one essential reason to seek out a place for refreshment. This place beckoned with its large windows showing a warm wood interior. The food was absolutely delicious and not very expensive, at all. The toilet was very clean, but I was quite perplexed at the lack of a... More

We stopped here for a lunch and coffee. We got stuffed omelette with pork and pork with garlic and steamed rice. It was a pleasant change after almost two weeks of strong spicy flavoured Thai meals. The meals were delicious. Coffee had average taste but anyway the best we've got in Thailand yet.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
