We visit this restaurant every time we are in Bangkok. The 4 of us ordered 5 dishes and they're all so tasty. The curry crab is the main attraction but the fried sea bass is also very tasty. The setting is a little rowdy and you might need to climb a few floors of stairs to get to your table... More

Struck Somboon Seafood outta my list of must-visits in Bkk. Their famous crab dish has dropped so much in standard that I'm wondering how long more would they be able to maintain having a long line of clients waiting at meal times. Please don't let the feast on the eyes fool you. The dish was totally bland in taste and... More

I had visited this estuarine 25 years ago and I came back again . The food was very good but it's even better now . By far the best variety of crabs anyone would desire ...and the place is close to pat pong for a shopping tour ..

The restaurant is quite casual and ok, and not only was the food good, but the CURRY CRAB was superb!

We went to the restaurant in the Central Embassy - apparently there are several branches. The first night we went, with two other couples, the wait was one hour. We returned the next night at 5:30pm and got right in. The food was great! Our waiter was wonderful also! We had the crab with yellow curry which is their signature... More

This restaurant was recommended in the guidebook. We chose the famous "red curry crab" but we were a bit disappointed as it looked more like crab porridge with a few claws mixed in and covered with orange grease. The other things we chose were ok but weren't really tasty. Maybe we didn't chose wisely. However, the staff were lovely and... More

tourist packed and noisy. Food is okay but dont' expect too much. Staff is friendly. Make reservation in advance otherwise you can't get a table. My favoruite one is curry crab and grilled pawn. The fried rice with crab meat is not good.

Loved their curry crab which was not spicy at all --- best eaten with steamed rice because of its flavorful sauce Tom yung soup is very good, just the right spiciness! Steamed grouper is also very good, even if we did not order the live one. Fried rice is good but not the one of the best I have tasted... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
