Took Lae Dee (translated: Inexpensive and Good) restaurant is the best choice for western dishes in Bangkok. A great variety of western and thai dishes which won't hurt your valet and great quality too, as they use their own produce from the supermarket Foodland, by far the best quality and selection of western food products.

The restaurant is very good, tasty thai dishes, good choice of local or international food. Good selection of beers. Price very reasonable. Definitely give it a try!

Thinking about eating at the supermarket is not very sexy. But when you eat at the Took lae Dee on Soi 5....you will get a lot of quality for a very low price. We eate Morning Glory, Tum yan khun, Green Curry, Shrimps with black pepper, Fish with black pepper. Every single dish was excellent. And the price? What would... More

A meal for two (I had the fried chicken with cashew nuts, my girlfriend had the fried rice with curry Indian style), with two soft drinks and an extra order of rice was rounded up to 340 baht. Definitely recommend any time of day and night (Open 24/7).

Very nice and crowdy restaurant,at least the time that we went there for dinner. The food is cooking there in front of your eyes and it's very tasteful while the service is good

Essentially street food moved inside to a food counter. Not going to win any awards, but cheap, in AC, and quick. Had lunch here a few times and food is always solid and price was hard to beat. Under 200THB including a large Chang beer.

I have been eating the Thai food here for over 20 year whenever I am in the area. Fried rice, Fried Pork with Garlic are my two favorites. They also have fried morning glory that isn't on the menu. Sit near a pitcher of water and no need to buy mineral water. All the Thai dishes are very good. Tip... More

Sorry but this was awful. Food bland and tasteless, service worse, ambience awful. I won't be going back. Worst meal in Asia.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
