I visited The Black Swan in its new location in soi 19 as I really wanted to have a traditional pub evening, and liked this pub when it was on Sukhumvit. It has really gone downhill, the staff appear tired and weary and do not smile, the music is on a repeat reel from the 1960's and 70's, and the... More

Top notch fry up, Heinz beans, great sausage, HP and ketchup. I had a Thai curry/soup too which was fresh and incredible!

Enjoyed the food. Really nice ham. Good portions, if a bit pricy. The staff were uninterested, bordering on rude.

We regularly visit the Black Swan for Sunday roast, however the last time we visited it took an hour and twenty minutes for the food to arrive, when we complained we were told that the kitchen was busy with Food Panda orders and we would need to wait. What a service to the customer

For years the black swan has been a firm favourite - dependable and consistent good quality food and drink. Guinness is one of the best around and the fish and chips are to die for. It's small and somewhat peculiar but we like it. Landlords also peculiar but we don't go there to see him so we can live with... More

No recommendations, just a casual stroll by and decided to pop in for a lunch. Quiet which was expected but looked very old English style village pub. Great selection of ales and ciders. Opted for the bangers'n'mash and wasn't disappointed in taste and portions. Word of warning, make sure you are very hungry!! 3 pork sausages laid over mashed potato... More

Came here with some friends to watch a premier league games and it was dead! Just couple of people hang around while happy hour was on and that was it. Which I'm not surprised about since a pint of a local draft larger is 170 - 180 THB! The waitress didn't even turn on the TV screen for us or... More

My lovely wife and I visited the Black Swan in its earlier guise at Nana several times over the past 5 years. It was not cheap in comparison with numerous Bangkok drinkers, but excelled at being very much like an English boozer, and so after a few weeks in the City kept the homesickness at bay. We made an effort... More

The black swan is supposedly an English pub set within Bangkok the food comes in large sizes but is just reheated as no one can cook a roast in 10 mins of ordering. The food is average but the drinks are good and staff ok, ok for a quick drink with a friend or two.

Thank Clive C

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
