I had just got off my long haul flight and craved some fresh fish. My husband had been before and really enjoyed it. Really charming restaurant we sat outside, lots of greenery and fairy lights added to the atmosphere and intimacy but inside looked really nice too. Tricky to find, it's on the other side of the road from patpong... More

I went here on a romantic dinner with my wife, we sat inside. the garden is lovely, but too many mosquitos. Long story short we ordered the tartare and both got food poisioning! Give this place a miss...And as often the case in bkk the service was lifeless, there appeared to be a foreign boss who seemed too busy drinking... More

While I have been to Indigo a couple of times previously for lunch, last night was my first dinner experience and it didn't disappoint. I have always found the food to be what I expect french food to be. Traditional choices, cooked perfectly. I normally order from the daily specials and last night had the steak with peppercorn sauce which... More

The first question for visitors to Bangkok is, of course, why eat anything but Thai food? But if you do want a very good French meal, and a very reasonable price for the quality, you should check out Indigo. Even wine prices, often priced outrageously in Thailand, are very good. Service is outstanding -- friendly and attentive. I've had scallops,... More

This is a safe bet for real French food, the menu is very comprehensive and the staff very professional. Food is very good.

Owned by a Frenchman from Connecticut (with the largest hands I've ever seen), Indigo is a charming restaurant in an old, wooden building with a tree-filled garden. The management is "hands-on" ('natch) making the food delicious and the service almost perfectly invisible (in black waistcoats and full-length, French, white aprons). The avocado and smoked salmon starter is sublime, and the... More

A bit pricey as expected but quite good. Lovely garden where we tried lobster mousse and duck confit. Would go again. Things to work on: 1. Butter could be whipped or at least less cold. 2. Bread could be warmer. 3. Stop bringing everything on the table at once. Starters and mains all at once are ridiculous, especially when the... More

The ambient of this restaurant was great. The customers were happily chatting and you could feel the vibrant energy of the restaurant. However, the service was rather poor as it was difficult to get hold of the servers. It took a while before someone took our order and attended to us. The servers seemed to be very tired and not... The place is sometimes really packed so something's right! Value is good for average food generally but now and again outstanding. Good atmosphere (when the smokers stay outside!) and very good bar service and Thai staff excellent.

Very nice food but it's always strange to see the chief drinking at the bar during the lunch time. Also so usual guest talking with very loud voices and have no consideration for neighborhood can be disturbing. So sad because the food and the service and very nice.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
