This time we can sit on the mattress with our feet hanging down the pit. Much more comfortable than before. The beef is still very soft and tender accompanied with ample vegetables. We had one set for two of us but still not quite full. We cannot fishish another full set but cannot order a half portion to fill the... More

Was pleasantly surprised by the food quality and the service (with smiles). Went at a time when the restaurant wasn't busy, but all the workers were very attentive and friendly. The food was good and satisfying.

Buffet! Suki yaki is a real deal here. Love to spend my weekend with my family there. Great place. Also pork is the one I recommend. Plus, great ice cream there is great too.

There're many Japanese sukiyaki restaurants in Bangkok. This one is my friends', my family's and my favorite. The taste just good. Soup are perfect mixture of saltiness and sweetness. Nice ingredients especially sliced marbled beef which contains perfect flavour, tenderness and fatty. Beware, though, if you choose buffet instead of a la carte, only first set of beef you ordered... My first cousins, M.L. Aurapan and M.L. Aurajitra, hosted the family dinner. There were 16 of us. We ordered both the Shabu Shabu and Sukiyaki sets. The foods were perfect and good quality. There Shabu Shabu sauce made from white sesame just like in Japan.

Good test and great ingredient. As i had been there for many years at this restaurant (Prakanong branch), they still serve a good quality of food. Although in Bangkok has many many new Shabu restaurants, I still love to visit this place.

This restaurant focuses mainly on shabu shabu style cook your own dishes which are ok. The sushi and sashimi aren't bad either but it remains just another run of the mill Thai style Japanese restaurant.

After a very hard day's work and previous night's overtime work, me and my colleagues went to our usual hang-out place, yep! you guess it right "Akiyoshi". We were treated with very delicious food buffet while gulping down bottles of Asahi beers. Very relaxed and friendly/accommodating staff compliments our night out. I very much recommend this place if you are... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.
