The new restaurant is bigger and better than before. The location is easy to find, only a short walk from Asok BTS. The service is excellent and the food is as good as ever. The frozen Margaritas are probably the best in Bangkok and good value for money. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and I highly recommend trying this... More

For the last 20 years I'm visiting thailand and never had problems with any kind of food even while eating in the street. I was there yesterday after noon and ordered the charley brown platter while eating the chicken seem to be o.k but the beef didn't tasted well. The resault i ended up with a food poison.

Try out the passion fruit margarita! had encheladas that was very tasty! I think the new location is better than the last one easy to get to from Asoke BTS. Like the high ceiling and there more room and good outdoor area also. Like the new look, colerful and kozy. Ill be coming back:)

Dear Maggi It was great to see you on our opening night - thanks for coming down and supporting us. I happen to know you're a talented chef, so a 'thumbs up' from you is especially appreciated. Looking forward to seeing you down here again soon (hopefully when we'll have more time to chat) All the best Charley More

My partner and I visited here on our last day of our holiday. Having been eating mostly traditional Cambodian/Thai food, we fancied something else. This place appeared on our trip advisor search and so we did the usual "let's check out the reviews" (not that we are Mexican experts or anything". Well... after reading the reviews, fawlty towers references and... More

Dear Liz and Ricky For the last 5 days, we've been working incredibly hard. 15-16 hour days, lighting heavy equipment and trekking back and forth between the old location and the new. We're all aching and exhausted. So it was lovely to wake up and read your review this morning. I particularly enjoy reviews such as yours which contain a... More

A touch off the main street, bút a Gem in the rough! Just a 7 Minute walk from BTS NaNa. We've been in Asia 8 years and the taste of fresh homemade corn chips and a non cilantro salsa was a delicious beginning! The double decker w shredded beef would have been superb with cheese added. The salad with shredded... More

Dear asiajane56 Thanks for the review - our new location is a little easier to find; first sub-soi on the left on Sukhumvit Soi 19. If everything goes according to plan, we should be open tomorrow night (I'm excited and petrified at the same time). Your comment on the cilantro reminded me of a incident a few years ago. I... We stumbled on the half price frozen margarita night here and stayed for food. The food was really tasty and one of our best Mexican meals. We had nachos as a starter and burritos for mains but you could easy get by with just a main. It's off the main strip so nice and quiet although there is not much... More

Dear Stephen P Thank you for the review - my staff and I always appreciate the time taken to pass on feedback. Happy to hear you enjoyed the food and thought the portions were a decent size - it's such a subjective thing, I hear the whole spectrum from 'Portions were tiny' to 'Absolutely huge'. The Sub-soi in which we're... More

Most consistent mexican in bangkok without doubt. Great owner staff are on the ball which is very hard to find. Lovely food beers and great offers. Stuffed jalapeños are delicious along with all the menu we have tried. Thumbs up from us

Please can you play some Latino music and not clichéd pop? I don't want to listen to Voulez Vous Couches whilst eating my chilli con carne. Great food, by the way. Thanks.

Dear Jonny H Glad you liked the food. The song you mentioned is 'Lady Marmalade'; a 1975 classic by LaBelle. But our music playlist is 26 hours long. We've got rock, pop, country, soul, hip hop and of course Latin music. I try to put on an eclectic mix so that there's something for everyone. But I'm sure you know,... More

I stopped here on my way from drinking at the Zanzibar. The food here was pretty good.... I actually have not had a bad meal in Bangkok in about 5 weeks of working here. This Soi is a pretty cool one with everything you can think of.... the food was pretty good here and the margaritas were exceptional!!!!

Dear Gary C Thanks for the review, it's always great to get positive feedback - I'll make sure I pass it on to the staff. If you get the chance to revisit, pick my brains about other good places to eat in Bangkok. Don't forget that next Sunday night (19th March) will be our last in this location. And from... More

We had our baby only couple months old and we were staying at the Indigo on Wireless Road so normally we would eat in or next to the hotel. However we had eaten here simply by accident a couple years ago when we were still dating and it was great, and I was determined to turn on the MIL to... More

Dear Golubchik What a great review. I especially like reviews that cover lots of dishes and specific items. I may have mentioned this at the time, but this little soi is due to be demolished at the end of this month and Charley Brown's will relocate to Sukhumvit Soi 19. I'll add a map to Tripadvisor and Google when we... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
