Don't be mistaken to think you can find Beijing Duck here, no they don't served Beijing Duck (at least I didn't see it). Their star (must eat) is the pork in bun (2 orders: pork + sesame bun). It is so good that whenever I come here for dinner and want to get some take out, the ladies always say... More

I used to live in this area 20 years ago, and for this restaurant you'd have to line up; most of the customers were nostalgic mainlanders who arrived in Taiwan by 1949. Now it's more a restaurant with typical Beijng style dishes, part of the multicultural atmosphere of Taipei. Minimum consumption and time limits apply.

A no nonsense restaurant that serves decent and delicious northern cuisine. Their famous dish is the Bao (bun) with pork wrapped in it and their pickled cabbage and pork hotpot. both a must try and quite delicious. Other basic northern style dishes like onion pancakes and dumplings are equally good. The place is quite popular so i would recommend calling... More

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat at this Taipei favourite. My memory had not failed me, the beef in sesame buns, chilli eggplant & some hot noodles (name escapes me). As always the food is 1st class & the service is no fuss & extremely efficient. If you like Norther Chinese cuisine washed down with cold Taiwanese beer,... More

If you want a local Taiwan style authentic Beijing style food, this is the place. Simple food but done extremely well, especially the huge green pancake (must order at least 1 day in advance), moist, thick, tasty and great! Excellent value for money as well. Must try when in Taipei!

It has been my frequently visited restaurant. The atmosphere has not changed for over 50 years. Once it was hard to get a table, and now people still come around for the name sake. Spicy braised pork (醬肉) is the key customer traction. To me, the overall cooking is on its downhill. Though service has not been kept up to... More
