I'm pleased to be at the Nepali Chulo along with my Thai friend, Ekhsam Chairson and team for a complete Nepali meals with cultural program. I highly recommend to visit this place in Lazimpat, Kathmandu. Best location best atmosphere. Either for locally or along with foreigner friends who may want real Nepali test.

We booked the 3-hour dinner and cultural show at this restaurant and were pleased to have the place almost all to ourselves. The food was delicious and quite filling, so much so that we had a bit of a hard time finishing the whole four courses. The dancers were charming and the music was surprisingly to my liking. We couldn't... More

Visiting an American friend who lives in Kathmandu, he brought me here with his Nepali wife and family. The entertainment is wonderful and classic, the food delicious. You will have fun and a comfortable belly!

Nice ambience and cultural entertainment. Food is good only if you like local Nepali food as the restaurant is set up to promote the local food and culture thru its local dance shows that are created throughout the evening while you eat. The menu is a set meal of either non veg or veg food. Service is good and fast... More

If your friend from abroad is visiting Nepal only for 2 days, then this place is great to give him/her a quick dose of Newa food and Nepali culture. The place is pricey, the ambience is touristy/ex-patty and the food is above average but the price is not justifiable.

Our tour went here for our last night dinner. It is an old traditional building, a 200 yr old Rana palace, so the decor was wonderful. The food was great and the service excellent. There was a singing and dance show too which finished with a wonderful peacock (who collected tips).... no-one could resist! highly recommended!
