Run by an ever smiling French person. A nice place to get to gather of various business men and spend a good evening. The girls normally run the show. Food is excellent and do not miss out the spicy (really spicy) green chilli chutney. Excellent food. Neat and Clean. A must visit for food and drinks.

le petit verdot is an interesting restaurant, old style, with an interesting menu (andouille, sanglier, foie gras of course etc) and a very decent wine list with reasonnable prices. I ate one of the best meat of Antananarivo (cote de boeuf) nicely grilled and tender but tasty. I went several times to this place, sometime a bit disappointed by the... More

Inside, the decoration is quite surprizing: it looks like a limestone house from Central France... The menu is in agreement with the French decoration. We chose to eat local and it was excellent. Tried some local wine - to be tasted if only once. Good service. Altogether a pleasant evening.

This is one of the nicer places in Tana whether your are out on a business lunch or on a family diner. Food is great. You should never miss the wild boar stew if available. Staff is friendly and service great. Fully recommend it

Had been to this restaurant before and it looks to have been renovated. Retained all its charm and warmth. French food served simply and well. No fuss, just the business.

Love this great little restaurant, tucked up against a very busy intersection (right across from the marine recruit center), with barely a spot to pull off the road and duck in. But do it! The restaurant unwinds beneath the street surface to a charming eatery. Exposed beam ceilings, lots of cheeky french art work, fabulous menu.

Such a neat little place! We ate in the lower level, which gave a very private dinner space. The staff were great, the restaurant was quiet, and it was possibly the best steak I've had in Madagascar. We were very impressed. And the location is in a really neat place, which makes it a great place to explore.

The food and wine were overall very good however there were some silly issues that tainted the evening given the price of the restaurant. To start with we decided to order several carafes of wine to try a selection, there were 4 of us, 2 bottles and 2 carafes were brought over, even after we had told them explicitly what... More

Le Petit Verdot is a great French restaurant. Great bistro-type lunch menus: great food, great service and good wine for a really good price. Really enjoyable place with nice decoration too.
