Right next to Aurelius Arch with lots of stone ruins about. Beautiful lights at night. Had the baby camel in the sealed clay pot that they break in front of you. It was quite good. We ate here back in 2010.

AMAZING.The atmposhere is awsom, the Roman arch is at least 2000 yrs old, Beautiful place & The setting and the surroundings are surreal, recommended for family and for couples.

The quantity and quality of food have made this restaurant very popular. I eat in Al-Athar once a month because of its Libyan cuisine. Big servings, affordable price and Libyan atmosphere.

One of the best restaurants in Tripoli. With live music and nice view of arch of Marcus. The place is clean and the service is perfect and they have delicious food. Especially don't forget to try the jarrah.

That's right this is indeed a restaurant within the ancient ruins of a Roman city. They serve up traditional Libyan fare including baby camel cooked in a clay pot which they break in front of you!, come here at night the atmosphere is fantastic.... only...down side is its quite priceyMore
