This was a very fun evening, dance and drum show included. When you arrive, they clad you in a local scarfy thing around your body so you 'look like a local'. It's a buffet, featuring a daily spit roast (ours was lamb, but very well done), a 'grill bar' where the chefs prepare game meats. The warthog steak was excellent,... More

Worth doing if staying more than a couple of nights. Whilst the cultural experience was worth it, we felt it could have been better organised. Dining was buffet style with an excellent choice of food however we prefer more intimate dining. The entertainment was okay and would suit larger groups rather than just a couple on their own. Don't regret... More

I can see why some people say this a don't miss experience. They do have opportunities to try exotic food/drink, and the drum performance was quite good. However, the experience is somewhat tainted by vendors peddling traditional beverages, fortune telling, etc while you're eating dinner. The $40 price tag is also a bit much given the average quality of the... More

We lived on the Zambian side of the falls. We were driven across the bridge to the Zimbabwe side to experience the BOMA dinner show. It is an experience that every visitor to the falls should experience. We are vegetarians. We were looked after very well. The show was interactive and we had a thoroughly good time

Went here last month on our visit to Victoria Falls. The Boma, based on reviews, seemed to be an experience not to be missed. What a dissapointment. First, we had made reservations for 7:30pm (hotel said this would be enough time for dinner and the show). When we arrived, they sat us way in the back...far from the show and... More

BOMA was just as I had hoped it would be and even more! Tribal dancers, the addition of native attire for each guest as you enter and the opportunity for some tribal face painting set the tone for the evening. The tradition of hand washing before you sit down and the offer of a small serving of local beer (an... More

The atmosphere is really good and makes you feel that you are indeed in Africa. The choices of various fresh meats is excellent and accompanied by a great variety of vegetable dishes or breads. The drumming which gets all visitors involved is really good and provides a good wrap up for the fabulous evening.

This was a big disappointment. We were hoping for a cultural experience, where we could learn about traditions of the local tribes of the area. There was no explanation of anything during the performances. I finally asked our waiter, who said it was a "combination" of a variety of cultures. In other areas on this trip, we've enjoyed learning about... More
