The Grand Socco is a dream when you're on the second floor. This place has a view, ambience and service which are certainly worth it. I didn't come to Tangier for the food; on this occasion, the food, for me, wasn't memorable. For me, as I said, that's not important. Spending a few hours here you see the Grand Socco... More

It is now called "La terrace du 9 Avril". food is not at all like the photos on this site.. salad was fine, Tuna simply cooked, not pretentious, but on the expensive side... you pay for the view. rapid service

We discovered this restaurant after reading all the great reviews so our expectations were high and they have all been met. The gastronomy is outstanding and the sevice is excellent. A Must in Tangier.

Started with crispy toasted bread with cheese and fresh figs, continued with filet de Saint Pierre combined with garnish of potatoes and mashed egg plant, and finished with the most delicious chocolate mousse cake on a crispy almond layer with ice cream. Everything was seasoned with detail, and the presentation is just lovely. Prices are decent, and the view from... More

After walking up and down and a bit and denying invitations from persistent hawkers to other restaurants we decided that the art et gourmet is the terrace restaurant. When you go up the stairs you will see the old art restaurant sign painted on the wall. Good food not cheap, but safe and they serve alcohol and don't do a... More

After an arduous trip to get to this restaurant, I was underwhelmed with what felt like overpriced food of average quality.

well its european prices.. 160 for a three course lunch - we were happy with the price/value/taste. Its up many flights of stairs so we where ready to tuck in. We had a local goat cheese starter beautifully presented and wrapped in a thin slice of cucumber. Then I had steak (perfect) and it was followed with an amazing cake..... More

Fish dominates the menu and the turbot fillet was beautifully cooked. I went for the steak and was served a gigantic slab of meat accompanied by delicious au gratin potatoes and vegetables. Wine was available and we went for a very nice Moroccan white. All in all, expensive but tasty.

OK so two of us went for dinner. Asked at the door if they serve Moroccan food, told yes "Tagine, cous cous" which is why we sat down. Then the menu came over (a big board) and I didn't see any tagines. I was then told tagine = cous cous. It's not, so don't try to fool me. I ordered... More

Paid $35 for two gigantic juicy amazing steaks. They were so big we took leftovers home. Came with delicious au gratin potatoes and vegetables. Also a lovely glass of wine. Fancy and slightly expensive but super worth it.
