We visited the place following the advice from our hotel and we are are very grateful to them for the tip. A busy place at a busy street, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table at lunchtime on a weekday, but the food made up for it. Great appetizers (try more than one!), and the shawarma with... I ordered a chicken sharwarma followed by a syrian tea, then a soda drink. Starting with the shawarma, It was bad. I do not recommend it as it was very dry and tasteless, since the second bite I found myself forced to eat this meal. I personally prefer the Abtal alsham shawarma in Agdal. They had a small variety of... More

I cannot understand why this is not number one (but I'm glad it isn't because we always find a table)! The food is very reasonably priced (pas cher) and SO delicious. I cannot get enough of this place! From the humus and pita to fattoush salad or the chicken shawarma plus the lemonade with mint, everything at Yamal Asham is... More

This restaurant has become a regular visit everytime we are in Rabat. It serves fresh and delicious food for a small price. Be aware of long queues, especially on the weekends.

Yamal Achem consistently has excellent food at a great price. It is frequented by locals and tourists alike and everyone walks away happy! Along with the standard things, I would also advise anyone to get dessert, too--they have very tasty baklawa. I have been to Yamal Achem many times and I always leave well-fed and happy.

We dined as a family at Yamal acham in Rabat. It was bustling with locals, always a good sign. We ordered a variety of foods for the table to share; all were delicious! The "lemon and mint" drink was a highlight not to be missed. The service was prompt and polite and the entertainment was fun and well done. We... More

Really really good Syrian / Middle Eastern food. Try the mint lemonade. It was awesome. Reserve a table as it is really busy in the evening. You won't be disappointed. Everything we ate (group of six) was excellent.

Tasty food, great drinks (though no alcohol). Falafel particularly nice. Good value. Book in advance.

The servers don't seem that interested in seeing you, but this is a good place if you want a break for Moroccan food. You'll find most of the best of Syrian foods.
