If you are looking for a true Marrakech good with a reasonable price, this is the place. Some of the popular dishes finish early, so be there before 3:00pm.

Our guide and driver took us here for lunch. The portions were large, plentiful, fresh, flavourful and clean. A lot of locals were dining here. Washroom were small but clean, next to the prayer room.

You have not really experienced the taste of Morocco until you taste roast lamb from this street restaurant. Ask to see the hole in ground where the whole lamb is cooked.

Not to be missed as seen in the TV documentary. The staff spoke little English and I was not sure how to go about ordering. We ordered 1/2 kg of lamb and was charged 5DH for the bread. Wished he had asked me if I wanted to try the parts of the head.We were given the meaty parts which was... More

We came here for lunch on a Tuesday around 12:30pm. We were the only ones in the whole restaurant, which would normally make me feel wary as we like to seek out places that look popular with the locals. However, I had read so many good reviews about this place that we just had to go in anyway. We were... More

We came here on a group tour with a pre-set menu, which was roast lamb with salt and curry spices and bread served in a common dish. Another dish of olives and hot sauce was served on the side. There were no serving utensils, plates, or table service. We were expected to pull the lamb apart and eat it with... More

Popped in about 8 pm and were surprised that so many tables were empty (especially after reading all the rave reviews). Climbed all the way to the top staircase where we enjoyed a view of the square at dark. There was one menu option: lamb tangia. We ordered two, and were brought a bowl of bread, chopped Moroccan salad, and... More

Great place for a proper Moroccan meal, I ordered the lamb tanjina and the beef tagine both were so tasty, up there with the best I have ever had. The price are cheap and the quality of good very good, great service couldn't complain about a thing 100% will be back

Don't be put off by the display of sheep heads - this is the spot to try Tanjina. Tasty - but very rich - one small Tanjina ( I recall D 70) with salad and bread is enough for 2 people. If you are still hungry pop into one of the food stalls at the market and eat another small,... More

Located in a small alley right off the main square, easy to miss but you shouldn't. There are 4 or 5 restaurants next to each other serving the same food. They roast tons of lambs in underground pits (unfortunately not on the week we were there) and make the best tanjia (70dh), a type of lamb tagine. They also serve... More
