Having tried and failed to eat here on a Monday (closed at lunchtime) we had a quite lunch here the following day. It was quiet, in so far as we were the only people here at 12:30 and roused the staff into action. Not everything on the menu was available. The salmon fish cakes and the four cheese tagliatelle were... More

Pepe Nero is not cheap by Moroccan standards - but it still represents great value for money. Book before you go - Pepe Nero is almost always fully booked. Follow the signposting from the main square (about 10 minutes at our ambling pace) and enter from a small alleyway into a majestic courtyard complete with water features. Service is formal... More

This really is a hidden jem, in a back street just off the Jeema El Fna. We read some of the reviews and decided to try it out and I am so glad we did. Wonderful meal, beautifully presented, first class service and not too pricey! Beautiful building and a nice atmosphere. If you visit any restaurant in Marrakech I... More

What a fantastic find on the internet! We found ourselves arriving a lot later than our table was booked for due to a mix up with cabs and then a trip through the souks to find the restaurant. A member of staff was waiting outside to guide us in and they were very understanding about our delay (we had telephoned... More

The meal and experience at Pepe Nero was great from start to finish. Sign posted the whole way, very easy to find. If you get lost there is no shortage of youths eager to direct you to the restaurant. The meal was very good. The aubergine starter was SO good I had to order it when I tried a piece... More

We fancied a European-style meal and found our way to Pepe Nero after looking on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. We had not booked and seemed to get the last table for two, in the salon at the end of the big courtyard pool, and we were a bit worried to realise that there was a party of 16 arriving... More

The restaurant is really beautiful - Pepe nero is located in an old city palace and the resulting athmosphere is romatic due to the beautiful design and archtitecture. The food is top - a highly recommendable place.

If you are in the area, this restaurant has to be visited. Forget what it looks likes on the outside as the inside is beautiful and the food is outstanding. We visited twice while in the area. I d recommend the steaks and the lamb tagine which are to die for. The only stain on the first night was that... More

We visited this restaurant for our wedding anniversary, recommended by the Riad. The restaurant is very pretty inside and the food and service were impeccable. They have an Italian and Moroccan menu, which was great to have the choice.we were treated to a special desert for our anniversary - a lovely gesture which made the evening very special.

Description
PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.
