Unfortunately we did not get past the burly security guards at the front door. Arriving without a booking, a night out squeezed into our full on tour, was a mistake. Even our local tour director could not get us inside just for a look. Total...More

Didn’t know what to expect. This was a welcome departure from local cuisine. Filet Mignon was delicious. Food and service were superior. Very nice atmosphere.

Casablanca is pretty busy and mostly unattractive, with lots of pushy tourist stalls, unkept houses and unmade pavements. Exceptions include the Mosque and Ricks Cafe. Once we found it, 4 of us arrived unbooked at lunchtime. Food was good, and not too expensive considering it...More

This is a recently built excellent interpretation of Ricks Cafe Americaine from the movie Casablanca. It is a refuge not only from a big dirty city, but from the world of today. It is not a refuge from tourists who seek the same thing. But...More

Business casual - no jacket or tie required for men but many men wear sports jackets. Women tend to wear nice dresses but not as fancy as a cocktail dress.

Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianist
