About
Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianis

We went to dinner here a total of 6 people. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The majority of the wait staff speak english, which is very helpful form me. It is a little expenses for Morocco but compared to NY/Miami...prices is was cheap.More

I know I know lots of blogs say it's so cheesy but when in Casablanca one just has to go here right? First full day and we chose to do a late lunch here, whatever you do, don't walk from Ain Diab Beach, taxis during...the day are very cheap. I loved everything about this place. The decor is so moroccan, service was impeccable, open seating to the roof so the 2nd floor looks down on the restaurant. Our food was wonderful, so wished we could have come back for the music but wasn't sure with covid if shows were even on. sad so much is shut down. so would I recommend coming here, don't think it was really cheap but sometimes a good meal is hard to measure in dollars. I'm so glad we made the effort, next time drinks and a show.More

I guess, we were expecting Rick's to be a bar, with snack food. We were so surprised that it is a very elegant restaurant with excellent food. The Curry Chicken was the best we ever ate.

Good facade. Flashy even. Upon entering you are immediately aware this ain’t the place. Pricy and poor quality. Staff perfunctory and bored.

We were 4 of 8 customers that this very nice restaurant had when it opened at 1230 today. The FB site states that it would be open at 10am which is when we arrived. After killing time the very pleasant and well presented staff opened...the front door just a few minutes late. As we were not going to eat we were shown to the upper floor. To be honest the interior is immaculate. After about 20 minutes the waiter came and asked for our order which was 2 single gins without tonic for €12 each and 2 small sparkling waters for €3.50 each. BUT as we hadn’t ordered sufficient we were refused service (ie told to leave) so we left. My advice is look at the photographs on this site and save a shed load of money for drinks elsewhere.More

My husband and I celebrated our 60th birthdays and 35th wedding anniversary with a trip to Morocco. We are long-time sentimental fans of the movie Casablanca (our 2nd date!) and we could not think of a better place to celebrate than with dinner at Rick's...Cafe. We were not sure what to expect and wondered if this might just be a tourist place with average food. What a wonderful surprise to discover a truly gourmet restaurant with impeccable service and atmosphere! It was probably the most amazing meal we have had in a long time in Canada or Europe. And, this was all delivered while honouring the spirit and joy of the movie itself. There are no kitschy movie posters or memorabilia around. Just an atmosphere that resembles Rick's with grace and sophistication with some lovely nods to the movie. The piano player is excellent (although not named Sam!) and gave us a great set of period tunes that ended with "As Time Goes By". He made us feel very special on our celebratory evening. All round Rick's is a "don't miss" stop in Casablanca for a superb meal and some great nostalgia. Note: there is a dress code and it is enforced which only adds to the elevated experience of dining at Rick'sMore

The place was beautiful and the service was great , we ordered seafood however it was a shame though, we could tell that the fish , prawns and mussels were super fresh but everything was overcooked which ruined it It was a good experience however...I wouldn’t go there againMore

We enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant. The dining area is nicely decorated, clean and bright. They offer a set menu with choice of salad, seabass or beef filet and ice cream or cheese cake. Coffee/tea is included. Food quality is good. Ingredients are fresh....Portions are just right. They have a full bar and a wide selection of wines. We had the Rosemary Gin- well made and refreshing. Service is attentive and pleasant. Staff promptly seated us after confirming our reservation. Cocktail, wine and food menus were handed out. Amuse bouche and bread were served while waiting for our cocktails. Timing between courses was just right. Dishes were cleared and water glasses refilled as needed. An enjoyable experience!More

Hi, the VIP room has a large table and can only accommodate large parties up to 12 people in an exclusive space for customers that require privacy. It has a view on the port.

Yes they do. Doesn’t hurt to give the door guys some cash in a handshake if they try and tell the place is full. Suddenly there’s an open table.
