Our family comes here often for meals. Prices are reasonable. Ambiance is nice. Staff is always personable. Lots of selection. Booths and tables available. Never been to the bar area, but it is on the other side of the restaurant when you walk in so if its noisy in the bar, it doesn't bother the restaurant patrons. I almost always... More

Thanks for all the vegetarian option on your menu. I see more and more restaurants realizing the vegetarian population is growing. Good texture and consistency. The corn relish is a nice touch.

Have eaten here a few times over the years. Good selection of Irish Fare. Never disappointed in a meal. Had the bread pudding for dessert the last time I visited. My advice, get it, but share it with the crowd. Way too much for one person, but awesome just the same.

Having visited Ireland (and you should) we know Irish fare, and Dublin Bay does it pretty well. The potato soup is very good! The soda bread could use some tweaking, but it is as Irish as your are likely to get this far from the real thing. Friendly atmosphere reminiscent of a true pub.

Our company had a meeting and made reservations at Dublin Bay. I was a little skeptical that they would be able to handle our group, for it was over 40 people. They were able to get our entire group in and have plenty of room for the normal dining crowd. My meal was the Fish and Chips. Loved it! Others... More

Passing through Ames on 35W and stopped to have dinner... what a pleasant surprise to find this pub with a great selection of beers. Food was great, servers friendly, made for enjoyable evening. Will definitely return!

Went here on a recommendation from a friend with family during recent ISU visit. Great choice. The apps we had were all great, including the soda bread, calamari, and crab cakes. The meals were a couple Fish and Chips and Stout Salmon-all were excellent. BIL stated he had eaten here on business lunches and all had been very happy with... More

It's that time of year again - time for Dublin Bay's pumpkin bread pudding. As long as the sweet pumpkins hold out, you can enjoy this all-time favorite of mine. Their year-around bread pudding is exceptional but the pumpkin version is truly wonderful. After making the drive to Ames for no other reason than to enjoy the pudding, I also... More

Meals and service at one time the best in town. Many times one of the owners would greet you at the door. Now you never know what to expect. The layout of the dining room is unique and you do feel you are a part of the atmosphere. The dining room is divided into smaller, comfortable dining areas like one... More
