Met a friend at Rae's Coastal Cafe. Neither of us had been and we were in the discovery frame of mind. This is a restaurant that you either know or want to find as it is located in a most unusual area of Augusta.Seating was easy and we secured a table outside, overlooking the creek. My dolphin sandwich was okay... More

Rae's Coastal Cafe is not on the coast (Augusta is inland), but there is a lovely tree-shaded patio and a small creek that add to the charm of this appealing spot. The restaurant is pleasantly casual-upscale with a creative menu, professional wait staff, and delicious food. The butterfly shrimp is great, the jerk pork is superb, and the shrimp and... More

Good service and food in a unique place. You may need someone who has been there to take you to this restaurant tucked back in a neighborhood. Caribbean and other options.

On a business trip to Augusta, my host suggested Rae's Coastal Cafe for dinner. They don't do reservations so our party of ten waited in the bar for about an hour. The manager brought use comp chips n black bean dip because of our long wait. After being seated, Kristin was our server and she definitely was attentive to all... More

This restaurant is snuggled in a subdivision, and not necessarily worth trying to find again. Some members of our party entered into the restaurant (reservations were for 7:30pm) and was seated immediately, however I came in alone, awaiting my husband (parking is very limited there), I stood by the door for at least 7 minutes and still no one approached... Believe the others when they say this place is tucked away. But it's worth the hunt. My WAZE GPS app had no problem finding it. Ribs were falling off the bone and it may be the best potato salad I've had.

Rae's always seems to be busy, but that surprises me and yet not a surprise. Great food (I like the Trilogy with jerk pork, coconut fried shrimp and mahi-mahi) and cold beer. Lots of menu treats in a cozy spot. Rae's is worth hunting for as it s off the beaten path, but the reward makes it worth it.

Not sure who posted all those wonderful reviews but here's OUR experience. Last Sunday evening around 7:30 PM we walk in and we're shown to our table. Inside is dark but if you look around everything, including carpet, wall covering, etc. is old and dirty. We order 'She crab soup' and fish: my wife had the salmon, I had the... More

So Rae's is sort of in the middle of an apartment complex - bring your GPS - but worth the travel. Wings - not so spicy hot you can't feel your lips - but incredibly flavorful. I had jerked pork - fantastic. Others had bacon-wrapped scallops - looked very good too. Rice and beans on the side - great! Nice... More

Lunch was amazing and I suggest the jerk chicken salad or the salmon salad. The atmosphere was relaxing and quite would a great place for a nice date to talk over dinner or lunch
