I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner this year and my sister and I were so pleased, we went back the next day for lunch! I chose it because I'd been wanting that British Pub experience, or at least the closest thing you can get to it in the US. The building itself is tiny and decked out with... More

My husband and I enjoy this little pub. The food is great. I had the sheppards pie and my husband had a burger. It was great. I believe we had blue cheese chips too that were nice. I wouldn't recommend going during games or events. It is pretty small and gets crazy busy.

This quaint little gem is located in the Five Points section of Athen and has outside dining. Bar has available bar games, great beer selection and if a soccer fan, its on the tube 24/7. Some of the best burgers in town and my wife loves the tandorri entree.

Food and service were great. Fish and chips were very good. Fish cooked just right, wish the chips were more English than American fries. Wife had bangers and mash, (they had brown sauce) and said it was very good. Will definetly return.

When I originally moved to Athens, my brother-in-law told me I was going to love the Peasant; I moved away from Athens a year ago and I still miss the Peasant. A small English gastropub that draws an eclectic, well-adjusted crowd and exudes a homey but hip vibe. Very excellent food; I recommend their poutine, pot pies, and corned beef... More

This is a small place with a large British atmosphere--and football on the telly. My last trip there was with my wife and her father. There's a nice selection of beer and a full bar. The menu is British primarily with things like fish and chips, bangers and mash and lamb stew. On nice days there is outdoor dining available... More

Fish and chips on a Sunday with a small terrier staring at eye level. Dogs are allowed, food is on the small side. Won't be returning.

The Royal Peasant is a great place to have some good pub food while watching some soccer or enjoying the outdoor patio overlooking the nicest part of town. The lamb stew and the bangers and mash are amazing, but the portions could be bigger, which is my only con. Overall, great food and atmosphere.

It's a pub in a university town. Microbrews and simple but delicious fare. Wait staff that we had was less than enthusiastic but the food made up for it. Cheers.

The Royal Peasant is my all time favorite restaurant. When you imagine a British pub this is it. The prices are amazing for the food quality you receive. For $20 you could get a fast food meal or a meal at The Royal Peasant for two people. Love the fish and chips, bangers and mash, and the burger. It is... More
